The First Trailer For 'Andor' And Everything Else Released At Star Wars Celebration
Set five years before the events of Rogue One the series follows rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion.
Andor will officially be 2 seasons, 12 episodes each, with the final episode of Season 2 leading right into the events of 'Rogue One' and it will release August 30th.
I think this trailer looked cool, but mostly because it looks like it is deep into the underworld and far away from any desert shithole planets. I think the biggest issue I had with Rogue One is that there were too many characters and none of them were particularly likable or cool. Hopefully, this show can capture the technical achievements of the movie but expand on the character of Cassian Andor.
Mando S3 is coming back next February and, apparently, it is based around Mando getting redemption on the actual planet of Mandalore. Bo-Katan was one of the coolest characters in the Clone Wars, and her eventual battle vs Mando for the Darksaber is going to be kickass.
(IGN) This new series will follow a group of 10-year-old kids from a small planet who get lost in that galaxy far, far away and must try to find their way home. The story will take place after Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and will fit within the timeline The Mandalorian and Ahsoka take place in.
I love this idea, and I already love the speculation that Jude Law will be playing fan favorite Admiral Thrawn. I don't know how exactly that would work timeline wise, but I'd love to see him in live-action being played by someone of Law's quality. The show was described as "a show about kids, but not a kids show" which definitely has be intrigued.
A princess assembles a party to join her on her quest to rescue her twin brother.
I can't lie and pretend that I'm a die hard Willow fan or anything like that. I will say, though, that I think the lore they established was cool and just couldn't be matched by the effects available at that time. The trailer looks cool and I would LOVE for there to finally be a good fantasy series. Fuck you, Wheel of Time. Also, never forget me and Robbie almost killed Warwick Davis.
